First Tory split.
Edward McMillan-Scott MEP (ConHome, please note corrected spelling) expelled from Tory Party because of excessive sanity and/or self interest.
Apparently, McMillan-Scott found resistible Dave’s siren calls to join the rag-bag of East European ne’er-do-wells (Malcolm, are you taking the PiS?), to construct a pretence of a “New Party” (© Oswald Mosley).
McMillan-Scott, who was leader of the Tory MEPs for five years until Europhobia took over, was re-elected a Vice-President of the European Parliament today … and was promptly defenestrated.
Among the ghoulish Tory MEPs (all, allegedly, personally anointed by Francis Maude), McMillan-Scott has a decent record, promoting the European Democracy Initiative, aimed at bringing awareness of that most basic foundation of Western society to, first, the former Soviet bloc, and, later, to the Islamic countries.
